🌱 Habits That Bleed Through
My friend Jacob asked me if you can apply working out principles to other things.
I loved that question because it's something I think about often. Fitness bleeds into other parts of life.
Fitness is thought of as a "keystone habit." In his book "The Power of Habit," Charles Duhigg defines keystone habits as "small changes or habits that people introduce into their routines that unintentionally carry over into other aspects of their lives" And that's fitness in a nutshell.

Examples of Fitness carrying over:
You start to workout 3x per week. You start to figure out that certain foods make your workout feel better than others, so you start changing what you eat throughout the week to feel better.
Or you start eating healthier and start to feel more energized throughout the day. Feeling energized gets you to be more productive and you start working on your side hustle after work.
Or you start having to wake up at 6am to train. You used to think of yourself as a "night person" but you realize you've been waking up early for months and it's become so easy for you.
Real talk,
it's what I love about fitness. When you become a person who trains, not only do you improve your physical health, you also take that with you to other parts of your life.
Hope you enjoyed this weekly #48!
